Sandoyartunnilin - SAT approved

On Friday 15/12, the SAT (Site Acceptance Test) was approved.

During SAT, safety equipment and systems were checked. The requirement before the opening on 21/12 was approvement of SAT by the projecting engineers and management.

The safety equipment consists of i.a. barriers, stop lights, traffic lights, fans, emergency phones, camera system, SCADA system.

All equipment and systems where approved.

The next requirement before the opening of Sandoyartunnnilin on 21/12, is that the authorities carry out an approved combined accident drill inside the tunnel.

Parts of the safety equipment are included in this exercise.

For the approval of the SAT, a monitoring room was set up on the top floor of El-Service, where authorities could monitor the execution of the SAT.
